I have got it set on racing mode, or the faster mode. There is a slower mode, which uses less battery, but as I said, all in all, the actual shifting performance is pretty good. One thing I like with the front derailleur is that there's only one button, so you're basically just pressing the button to shift from one chainring to the opposite chainring, which is quite easy.

Not only is there no chain slap, but it's never hopped or jumped a single gear. The only gear change, the only movement, happens when I initiate it through the shifter. And the shifting is different because it's so fast—it's a fast, concise electronic shift versus the analog shifter, where you can kind of feel it happening. I think this is better than an analog!
